One of the greatest luxuries my early retirement has afforded me has been the ability to travel freely and extensively around both the US and around the Globe. I have been able to visit everywhere from the Grand Canyon to the South of France. If I was stuck in an office somewhere working 40 hours a week, I would never be able to see these incredible places that I am able to, all the while working only a couple hours per day on the Internet. Traveling abroad can be an amazing an experience, encountering new cultures, food and seeing things that you would never be able to experience in the US. But traveling to exotic locations is much more enjoyable when you are able to communicate with the people you encounter. It allows you to talk to the locals and gain their perspective and probably get to do things that would be otherwise unavailable to you. I found it extremely worthwhile to take language courses while traveling around Europe with my wife and I would recommend it to anybody who is now available to travel as a result of following my plan.

While enjoying the fruits of your (now diminished) labor and traveling abroad, I highly recommend enrolling in a language class of your current location. Not only is it an enjoyable and eye opening experience, but it will provide you with very useful skills- not to mention, potentially another means of making some additional income. While my wife and I were in Lyon, France, among the many fabulous options, we also enrolled in classes to improve our French that was a little rusty since high school.

We would walk around the beautiful city during the day, take classes during the a afternoon and then after a fantastic dinner in a cozy bistro, we would settle down to work on our websites before bed. You couldn't ask for a life this good!
